Anyone outside of the NA market have any input on the quality of the B&O sound system in the Raptor/lariat?
In my experience with other Fords recently, they are a little underwhelming…was curious of the one in the Ranger.

I was curious as well since I don't see how I'm going to fit a real subwoofer inside of this thing. I was looking at reviews from people who had Mavericks with it and the reviews were average. Maybe its a slightly nicer system in the ranger but something tells me I will want to upgrade.

I had a Bronco Sport Badlands w/ B&O and it was so so.

I am looking at ordering an XLT (without the B/O) just the standard Sirius XM. Hopefully that is adequate enough but if not, maybe there are good aftermarket alternatives like an amp, new speakers, and small hideway sub..

My wife has B&O in her BMW X5 and it is absolutely stellar (Metallica Sandman proved it). I'm not expecting anything close to the same in the Ranger though...But am hopeful it's still pretty decent. would be curious what those who have heard it in a Ranger have to say though...

I didn't get the B&O but I plan on putting aftermarket speakers anyways. I've done that with every car I've had. stock speakers suck.

Did that with my Bronco and added a sub for that reason.

We had it in a Bronco and it wasn’t great. Replaced it. That truck had really bad acoustics however and it needed power to overcome that.
Also have heard it in an F150 Tremor and that was actually decent 7/10. Expecting Ranger to be the same.

It depends what one is expecting. The Harman Kardon in my Volvo is considerably better than the B&O on my Ranger Raptor. But the B&O is worlds better than what was in my first Gen Ranger Raptor. For me it is fine, but if you are looking for a top notch stock sound system you will be disappointed.

BMW's B&O system is VASTLY different than what is equipped in the Ranger.
I'd wager BMW's Harmon Kardon system is comparable to Ford's B&O.
That said, if the Ranger's B&O is at least as good as BMW's standard Hi-Fi...then I think we're OK. That system is missing some mid-range, lacks clarity at higher volumes and cannot get as loud as either the HK system nor the B&O system.

I bought my new '23 F-150 Tremor off a dealer's lot and it had been ordered with the 18 speaker B&O Unleashed system. It sounds okay to me in surround sound mode but I am by no means a music aficionado. I think I read somewhere that Ford moved the location of the subwoofer on the F-series trucks to make room other equipment. The new location is behind the rear seat instead of under it which supposedly has a negative effect on sound quality. I'm not sure if that's where it was previously or not but I do know that my truck also has the 2.0 kW Pro-Power Onboard system and the inverter for that is under the rear seat.

2023 Ranger Raptor in Australia, I have been very happy with mine. Perfectly adequate sound quality, clarity and Volume.
Of course there will be audiophiles out there that will want more but it's the best stock audio system I have had so far.
No complaints at my end.

Same here from oz .
very impressed with mine .
took a little fiddling to get it set up correctly but now it’s amazing.
so so loud and 100% clear at levels not before seen in a Ford.
The dash speaker works very well as does the woofer behind the seat with the only complaint being the back seat will vibrate when big bass hits.
I’ve had high end audio systems and built them for years and for a factory install I would buy it again .

Any suggestions on what to fiddle with to maximize the sound? Just EQ or settings?
