13th annual Summer Restaurant Week
5 p.m. Monday through Sunday, Aug. 7 through 13. The Fish House, Atlas Oyster House, Jackson’s Steakhouse, Five Sisters Blues Café and Angelena’s Ristorante Italiano are once again teaming up to present Summer Restaurant Week. In step with similar events in cities all around the country, Restaurant Week is a culinary celebration that offers residents and visitors alike world-class dining at a great value. Chefs from each restaurant will prepare a three-course, fixed-price dinner menu utilizing the best in local and seasonal ingredients, showcasing their culinary expertise. Diners are encouraged to try each special menu at all four restaurants. $33 per person, per restaurant.

Bands on the Beach
7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8. Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, Pensacola Beach. Pensacola Beach's popular outdoor summer concert series with performers for every musical taste. Featuring a lineup of regional artists, Bands on the Beach delivers an eclectic musical experience throughout the entire summer. This week features Sandy Roots. Shades of Hunks

Government St. Shades of Hunks is the perfect girls night out featuring an electrifying, high energy performance showcasing some of the sexiest men alive. The No. 1 bachelorette destination showcases interactive, choreographed routines to thumping beats and light shows. America’s First Settlement Trail Urban Adventure
9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12. Pensacola Museum of History, 330 S. Jefferson St. The America’s First Settlement Trail Urban Adventure will celebrate Pensacola’s 464th birthday. Facilitated through Gogames, registrants and groups will be given a tiered start time and three hours to complete a game that explores the trail, solves puzzles and tests knowledge of Pensacola’s history. Tickets are $10 for individual registration or $25 for corporate teams of up to 10 people. Tiered start times will be from 9-10 a.m. Awards will be distributed from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Voices of Pensacola. The top individual winner will receive a $250 cash prize and the top team will receive a $500 tab at a bar or restaurant along the trail in downtown Pensacola. Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience
10 a.m. daily through Saturday, Sept. 9. Pensacola Interstate Fair, Building 6, 6655 Mobile Highway. Imagine being completely immersed in more than 300 of the greatest works of post-Impressionist artist Vincent Van Gogh. Now imagine experiencing all of this art liberated from its two-dimensional limitations into a three-dimensional experience that exhilarates every sense and brings to life one of the most influential artists the world has known. 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12. Pensacola Little Theatre, 400 S. Jefferson St. Join Studio 400 and the Pensacola Little Theatre for a live table reading. Organizers will read prospective scripts for future seasons as well as new scripts that need a table read before the next edit. Those who are not playwrights but love to read out loud will enjoy a fun theatre night. Those fascinated by the play selection process may sit in for a listen. Feel free to bring a lunch or a snack. 3:02 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12. O'Riley's Uptown Tavern, 3728 Creighton Road. Organizers know that 26.2 sounds like a daunting distance for a race, but take note, it’s only 26.2 feet. The race is limited to 262 people. Those lucky enough to snag a spot will receive all the amenities of a Run Pensacola event, including a race shirt, pre/post-race food and drinks, finishers medal, a 26.2 race sticker, closed off course and race bibs. Saenger Summer Movie Series
7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. This week’s Saenger Summer Movie Series feature will be The Breakfast Club. The 1985 American coming-of-age comedy-drama film was written, produced and directed by John Hughes. It stars Emilio Estevez, Paul Gleason, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy. The film tells the story of five teenagers from different high school cliques who serve a Saturday detention overseen by their authoritarian vice-principal. Tickets: $5. Blues on the Bay

Main St. This free concert series is one of the most popular events for locals and visitors to spend the final hours of their weekend enjoying great music with family and friends in a great atmosphere. Concert spectators are invited to bring coolers and lawn chairs.
