SUMMARY: Multiple summer feeding programs are being set up to ensure that children in Iberia Parish do not go hungry during the summer months. Little Zoro Baptist Church is starting a program to provide meals for youth who rely on school meals. Reverend Wilford Johnson emphasizes the importance of supporting the community, and donations of canned goods, frozen foods, snacks, and money are being requested. The program will run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the summer, serving children 18 and under. All those in need, regardless of age, are welcome to participate. The goal is to provide 250 bag lunches per day to help combat childhood hunger during the summer break.

SUMMARY: There is no tropical activity in the Gulf, but Invest 90 is moving across Florida, bringing heavy rainfall. It may develop further once it reaches a more favorable environment in the Atlantic. The Gulf of Mexico is currently hostile to formation due to wind shear and dry air. There is a potential low developing in the Bay of Campeche, which might direct moisture towards the northern Gulf Coast. Weather models are showing varied predictions about rainfall in the region, with some suggesting less rain over Southeast Louisiana. High temperatures in the mid to upper 90s are expected, with potential rain bringing relief.
Most of us remained dry while down the Bayou and coast saw some good soaking…and cooling…showers and thunderstorms. All storm development remained along the coast and along a stationary front. As the front dipped a bit farther south than yesterday, we saw humidity levels drop a touch across mainly the Northshore and MS. A few pop up showers are possible again tomorrow thanks to a weakening upper disturbance moving our way, currently over central TX. After that a building upper ridge will keep us hotter and dry through Saturday. By Friday and Saturday, temperatures are expected to reach the mid and upper 90s!

SUMMARY: Currently, there is no tropical threat in the Gulf. Invest 90 is moving across the Florida Peninsula, bringing heavy rainfall but may develop in the open Atlantic where conditions are more hospitable. The Gulf of Mexico remains hostile for storm formation due to wind shear and dry air. Models suggest Invest 90 will stay off the East Coast, with potential development later in the week. Another low could form near the Bay of Campeche but likely won't impact the Gulf Coast directly. Rain could shift west of Southeast Louisiana, reducing expected rainfall to possibly 3 to 5 inches from Sunday through Tuesday.
Invest 90L has been designated by the NHC. This feature is currently off the west coast of Florida and is expected to move eastward across the state and into the Atlantic. This is not a threat to the Gulf.
We are still monitoring the possibility of tropical moisture surging our way as the mentioned upper high, which will be over us through the week, will shift to become centered over the Carolinas. This will bring more of a southerly flow, helping to draw the moisture northward. Models still not in agreement with rain chances here, but it certainly looks cloudier and wetter beginning Father's Day and continuing into early next week

The band members and their families raised around $700,000 to fund this once-in-a-lifetime journey. The students not only showcased their talents on the international stage but also enjoyed cultural experiences, such as visiting the Eiffel Tower. Despite the grandeur of the trip, the band members expressed excitement about returning home to New Orleans.
